Funeral services for Mrs. Taylor will be held Friday, May 31, 2013, at 11:00 AM EDT from the First United Methodist Church of West Point. Reverends Mark McGee and Gil McGinnis will officiate. Interment will be in Marseilles Cemetery, West Point.The family will greet friends Thursday evening from 6:00 PM EDT until 8:00 PM EDT at McCarthy Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Chattahoochee Hospice or the First United Methodist Church of West Point.

His survivors include: his wife, Shelia M. Barnes, Lanett, AL; a daughter Carleka (Roderick) Edmonson, Lanett, AL; two sons, Sherdarious Barnes and Melvin Barnes both of Lanett, AL; two brothers, John Lee and Tony (Bettye) Barnes both of Lanett, AL; three grandchildren; one sister-in-law; four brothers-in-law; aunts and uncles; and, a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
