Barnes, Mr. Melvin B., a resident of Lanett, AL, died Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at George H. Lanier Memorial Hospital in Valley.
Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. from Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, Lanett, AL with Pastor Louis Upshaw officiating.
Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Lanett, AL. Davis Memorial Mortuary of Valley directing.Public Viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, May 28, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Davis Memorial Mortuary Chapel.
His survivors include: his wife, Shelia M. Barnes, Lanett, AL; a daughter Carleka (Roderick) Edmonson, Lanett, AL; two sons, Sherdarious Barnes and Melvin Barnes both of Lanett, AL; two brothers, John Lee and Tony (Bettye) Barnes both of Lanett, AL; three grandchildren; one sister-in-law; four brothers-in-law; aunts and uncles; and, a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
